How to Reach Mussoorie
Traveling to Mussoorie from various parts of India is very easy and reasonable. People can easily reach here via buses, taxis, and people coming from far locations like Delhi, Banglore, Gujrat, Kolkata, Andhra Pradesh, etc. and even from foreign countries can reach Mussoorie by taking flight till Dehradun and then can hire a cab till Mussoorie at very affordable rates.
Mussoorie is only 33 Km away from Dehradun which hardly takes less than 1 and a half hours to reach the destination. Here are the three different way through which a vacationer can reach to Mussoorie:
People can board the Bus to Mussoorie from Uttarakhand Hill Bus Station which is near to Dehradun railway station and these buses go to two opposite sides of Mussoorie Mall Road. One bus drops passengers to Library stand near Gandhi choke and the other route bus drops visitors to Picture Palace near the only Cinema Hall of Mussoorie. So always choose the right route at your convenience.
Visitors can also hire taxis from Dehradun railway station which is just adjacent to the Uttrakhand Hill Bus service section. These cabs to Mussoorie are available at any time all across the year at a very reasonable price and are managed by Mussoorie Taxi Union, so they are all very trustable. You can hire a taxi at around 800 to 1000 INR. People from Delhi can take a taxi which can drop a passenger till Dehradun in 4-5 Hours as the Delhi-Dehradun highway is very good.
People who are coming from other parts of the country and outside India can reach Dehradun via Delhi through Flights also, as there is an Airport in Dehradun called Jolly Grant Airport. So people from all major cities in India can either take a direct flight to Dehradun or can take a flight to Dehradun with a stopover in Delhi. And after reaching Dehradun airport visitors can take a direct taxi to Mussoorie.
